Hello again! I just took an unintended leave of absence from here for awhile...it started with a weekend, which stretched into another day, then another.
But I'm here now, and wanting to share some little crafty things for our sweet boy, Huckley.
Poor little Huckley...these two gifts didn't make it under the tree this year, but we managed to surprise him for Three King's Day ~ when we gift all those late handmades for those we love. Huckley didn't know the difference...he was pretty tickled to get a handmade mama vest and a wooden chair from papa.
Just like the recycled sweater vests I made for Forrest and Sunshine, this was a semi-felted wool sweater that I stitched together in a few hours. In one of Huckley's favourite colours...orange. Amazing to layer him in warmth within the day, while knitting takes ever so much longer.
He loves his vest, can you tell?
And Papa made each of the children a handmade gift, too. Huckley's took a while longer to make, but was worth the wait.
Made of birch, maple and pine, Papa worked his rustic charm and created a beauty. Huckley loves that he has his very own chair and I love that such simple things can make this boy so appreciative. I hope he holds onto that as he grows older.

Dear Jules, his little vest is perfect!!! What a little darling he is!
The chair is also beautiful, it is so right up my alley. Josh does amazing work.
So much love to you- missing you!!

Oh my I do not know what I like more- the vest or the chair! The chair is just beautiful. I love how it is handmade just for him. And the vest is adorable and I love that is it from a felted sweater. Very cute and so is your little model! :)
