I just realized I haven't posted our moments from the week in over a month. I like capturing these little moments that colour our life with subtle beauty. So, here is a long post of photos from the last month...
There were two boys jammin' together while their sister listened intently to the carols on the CD player.
With Sunshine's great enthusiasm for ballet emerging, we had a performance where the parents were seated in a special row to watch.
We had friends over for a sledding party down our slippery driveway...and thank goodness for helpful pre-teens who don't mind pulling a toddler up the hill, over and over and over again.
And on another day, this little lass decided, with her characteristic quiet determination, to learn how to snowboard...without a peep to anyone.
We headed down to Nanny and Grandpa's beach for our annual New Year's Day Fireboat Launch. Grandpa made the biggest Viking Fireboat yet!
December also means the beginning of guiding season for Papa, who takes many days before Christmas to do his training. Over the next four months, he will be busy in the mountains and we are so happy when he returns from his adventures...er, work.
A little dancing with his sweet girl and a little indulgent drawing for his youngest. Huckley loves all things mechanical...just like his older brother. He will persistently beg anyone to draw him diggers, and here, Papa sat down to task.
Forrest's first real groupy. I imagine there may be many more to follow.
Just the other day, we had a glorious walk in the snow with our good friends. We visited a little abandoned cabin nestled in the woods that made me think of magical, wintry Narnia.
They are each the spitting image of their papas...lucky boys!
And despite the constant mediating and negotiating, I like to think this last photo is the best example of our family's month of December...
Have a lovely weekend, friends, in all that you do with your families!

You have such a lovely family. I hope your December was a spectacular one (it looks like it was!). And a viking fire boat! I bet the kids love that. (:
