Forrest (age 7) drew Huckley his favourite machine and the noise Huckley makes when he sees them.
Marching and singing, with loud enthusiasm, and lasting for a very, very long time : "We are St. Nick's helpers...We are St. Nick's helpers..." I love these moments when they all get along and giggle hysterically.

This week, outside...
I looked out the kitchen window to see this little mister bringing some wood in, all by himself. I had to stop myself from running out and dressing him properly...he just loves to be helpful and afterwards, he walks with a self-important swagger. Hilarious.
Eeeeek! A whole new world is opening up.
My favourite photo of the week. He is standing on the picnic table outside the kitchen window, without a clue I am taking this photo. He stood here for about ten minutes, watching the flakes fall. Love.

Snow! Oh my goodness! I had to turn the air conditioning on yesterday! This winter's weather has been insane.

I always love seeing your moments of the week. I love your little wood-man, he is so adorable. I have one that swaggers when he helps out too- I love it so! And that is one lovely snow fairy you've got there!

it's just like magic jules, coming here. seeing your photos, now with snow! i always feel like i want to have quiet time, where i don't feel rushed when i come to visit. because photos like your snow child looking up at the sky, stop me in my tracks.
i keep meaning to ask you, have you read that book, the snow child? i think you would love it.
