I'm happy to be joining Taryn at Wooly Moss Roots for the weekly gratitude*sunday. All week long, this little practice brings me into a quieter place of heart-filled appreciation.
This past week, I have been grateful for...
~ my husband unexpectedly coming home from work in the middle of the morning on Valentine's Day! We haven't had a Valentine's Day together in years, so this was a most welcome treat.
~ the seed start table my husband finished building just in time for the first seeds of the season to be planted
~ manifesting the beginnings of a dye garden...so exciting
~ experimenting with plant dyeing...I feel like a whole new world has opened up for fibre art and spinning
~ a beautiful, peaceful snowfall this afternoon with snowflakes the size of apricots! Finally, winter has returned for a spell
~ reclaiming my good health, one day at a time...I'm into six weeks of cleansing and don't see the need to stop anytime soon
~ early morning cuddles with my littlest who insists on my arms wrapped around him just so, and then he falls into peaceful slumber ~ LOVE!
~ watching my oldest son grow and spread his wings with new friends and new activities...my heart feels such happiness to see him flying!
~ my daughter's attentiveness to her tired mama, and with gentle, caring hands massaging my hands. When I asked her how she knew how to do it so well, she told me "Because you do it for me, mama, and I'm learning from you."
This Valentine's Day, I realize how very much I have to be thankful for. What a lovely day to celebrate all the love that is in one's life.

Your dyeing garden sounds intriguing and a great idea.

What a beautiful post Jules. :)
I look forward to seeing your dyeing projects. I'm a little behind in computer realm, thus taking me a week to get over here. :)
