I'm happy to be joining Taryn at Wooly Moss Roots for the weekly gratitude*sunday. All week long, this little practice brings me into a quieter place of heart-filled appreciation.
This week, I am grateful for...
...lingering daylight at the end of the day ~ like fresh air for the soul
...incorporating so much fermented and cultured food into my diet and feeling so so so much healthier, stronger and thriving because of it
...the monkey business that my littlest gets into ~ such good, honest fun that elicits his own squeals of delight and giggles from everyone else. Tonight, he "hid" his fork in all manner of places that he could reach from his seat at the dinner table, asking, "where is my fork?" and shrieking with happiness when he declared "here it is!"
...late night chats beside the cookstove with my husband about making more intentional steps towards the hobby farm we've been dreaming about
...hearing my oldest son laughing from deep down in his belly as he talks with his best buddy on the phone ~ what do they discuss? setting traps for siblings, making a band together with their siblings, and how to hypnotize their parents...good times
...my daughter's tendency to cuddle up close and snuggle in whenever there is an opportunity. I know one day I will wish she did this more so I am trying to take whatever I can get in now
...realizing how important dreaming is to the human psyche...or mine, at least. What would I do without my lofty plans and desires? Truly, most will not come to fruition, but oh! the dreaming of them is wonderful!

<3 what a lovely list of goodness. have a great week.

I love your list! I especially love late night chats with the husband. Sometimes it's the only time in the day to do so uninterrupted!

Jules,
Love that moss picture. We both had moss appreciation photos this week. :)
Love your list. I know what you mean about feeling good when you eat fermented food! And I share your love for dreaming...
Love,
Taryn

I love your list this week Jules. It is full of such thought provoking gratitude. My son and I were commenting on the days growing longer last week. It is always nice to notice those subtle changes in the air letting us know that spring is coming. Love the picture of the moss and lichen! I never get tired of admiring them even if they are all around me here in the Pacific Northwest! :)

Wonderful things to be grateful for. I agree dreaming is so crucial to our own selves. What would be be without our dreams.
