I'm happy to be joining Taryn at Wooly Moss Roots for the weekly gratitude*sunday. All week long, this little practice brings me into a quieter place of heart-filled appreciation.
Right now I am filled up with gratitude for...
...the days beginning a little earlier and lasting a little longer with the sun sinking slowly behind the mountains closer to dinnertime each evening
...reminders that my attitude is reflected in the actions of my children
...beloved dogs who keep the bobcats and coyotes and wolves (!) from getting too close to our homestead ~ despite what the neighbours think, these girls are working hard for us
...the serendipity of meeting a young woman who has lived with Type 1 Diabetes since she was just a wee bit older than my sweet girl and the wisdom, compassion, and support she has offered my family
...fresh snow finally falling and realizing we weren't at all ready for winter to end yet!
...feeling embraced by our little community and knowing that there are a whole lot of folks around here who have reached out to us offering support if we ever should need it
...eggs, eggs, eggs...and selling the abundance to those neighbours who are quickly becoming wonderful friends
...unexpected chance to see some good music in our small mountain town, and having a lovely dinner date with one of my favourite and oldest friends
...noticing the simple beauty of the everyday that leaps up and caresses my heart ~ and the choice to embrace them for the miracle that they are
